Is the area behind where the fog lights would be [I don't have them],empty,,, is it a way to run a fresh air/ram air hose up to the bottom of the stock air cleaner box. I was thinking that it might be a way to direct fresh ram air ???????????

 

No reason you couldn't do that. Only worry is to run into a pool of water. I've read one report of hydrolock with the stock setup when someone ran into a pool of water. If you do it maybe leave a gap between the intake tube and the filter box. The fog light location is lower then the stock intake. I cut a hole in the side of the stock box and ran a hose behind the grille. Too high to submerge that intake.
