I'm the original owner of a 2005 Magnum R/T. The joystick to the right of the screen of my factory GPS no longer functions. I've been told that a plastic locking type ring has broken and been lost. I've also been told the only fix is a complete replacement of the GPS/6 disc/AM/Fm unit. Does anyone know anything about this problem? Any possible avenues for a replacement part other than salvage yards? Thanks!

 

I've read on "ahem" other forums about replacing the joystick. Can't elaborate much but if you google "2005 Dodge Magnum GPS joystick broken", it will provide lots of hits to other sites for fixes.

 

Personally ditching the REC and retrofitting a nav MyGig is soooooo much better...
