Couple days ago, our water hose exploded in town.
We did a repair in the Autozone parking lot.
The next day, we had stalling at idle and the EGR valve contacts were dirty and a cleaner fixed that issue.
The guy who with the spiffy bluetooth code reader also said it was registering "wrong oil" and that was hubby's doing.
He topped it off with 30 weight instead of the 20 weight it is supposed to have.
And *now*, as a finale to all that stuff, I have lost my "bump shift" ability since this stuff happened.
No matter what I do, it will not shift into other gears.
Ironically, since the EGR cleaning, it's running smoother and getting better mileage than ever.
But that shift thing, though.
Could dust or moisture down the console do it?
Hubby always has a cup of coffee and an ashtray in the cup holders.
This car, which I love more than life itself, has cost us a fortune in repairs since we bought it used and we cannot afford transmission problems.
Does anyone have any ide what made the bump-shift suddenly *not*?
Please help.
I am out on the ledge over this.
