You know dodge offers a free racing training program to any SRT owners, read about it in the bathroom.

Are you one of those people with a limitless budget, cause man if you are there are a ton of mods you could do! If I were you I would set my life goal to squeeze 1000HP out of the srt8(I've seen 4 bangers in the 8s)! As far as painting it goes I would find that stuff that changes color depending how you look at it, very unique and very cool!

Not a limitless budget by any stretch of the imagination. But I don't have any other hobbies and I'm semi-retired with a great part time job and a little bit set aside, so I can justify some things! Just can't justify throwing away a perfectly good mfg's warrantee, plus I'm pretty happy with the great performance I am getting from this car. It's a daily driver too, so I try to be realistic.

Now if I had another garage. Maybe...?

Good point about voiding the warranty. Either way there are many performance upgrades that can be done without voiding the warranty. Suspension upgrades, exhaust, intake, computer programmers(surprised there arent a trillion chips out by now. That would void the warranty but they wouldnt be able to tell if when something went wrong you changed it back).

RK,
Wow! This is an old thread. I haven't been real active on this for forum in "many moon" and really have not been doing much over there either. I read a couple of my posts on this thread about "keeping the SRT8 stock". Well. That didn't happen. Here's the latest list.

2006 Magnum SRT8, Black
Zoomers, Jet Chip, Mopar 6.1 CAI, GS Motorsports ESP/Torque Mgmt/Fan Mod, KW1 Suspension, Calibre K40 Radar Detector/Defuser, RK Sports Viper Hood, Gas Piston Hood Struts, Custom SRT Grill Badge, Ultimate Pedals w/custom SRT8 Badging, SRT8 Floor Mats, Twin Alpine Subs & Amps - Custom Enlosures, Diamond Audio and Alpine Speaker Upgrade, Pinstriping by Bob Iverson, Eyebrows & Smoked Rear Tails

Since you have visited my "KK's Mods" page recently @ http://www.quartzsitervshow.com/kk's_mod!.htm, I'll assume you already knew that. Anyway. As far as cost. I think it was $2700.00 I put into the sound system. The sub install was a "one-off" but was not brain surgery. But when I went to pull the rear lens' to be smoked during the hood mod I discovered that they had glassed in the access to the wing nut that allows thier removal. The guy ended up doing them, and the eyebrows, (thanks grinner!) while on the car. The guy is a real pro!

I hope that answers your question. I don't have the invoice handy to try to estimate what just the sub install would have been and I doubt that I could have deciphered it anyway.

Feels pretty good posting again. My lap top took a crap in March and this is my off-season, business wise, (we finally found a new mother board for it this week - long story!) and is why I haven't been active on the forums. I'm just too fricking lazy to walk over to the desk top system.

A little more expensive but, then again, I got two subs and, in my opinion, a pretty cool custom installation that no one else has. Yet!
Nice install and nice pictures! That style of sub install has been done on more then a few Magnums around here and on the other forums in the last two years.

I'm sure there have been however I have been to several huge LX meets in the last year or two and haven't seen one. Saw many higher end and different set-ups though.

Thanks!
