Has anyone had their tires Siped?

Has any had their tires Siped? If so, how do they perform?

May have it done

Have been thinking of having it done to help with snow traction. ( Minnesota snow)
Should be a bit less money than snow tires.

Have had them done on my Jeep for about 3 years. Traction better, no more noise, wear not noticeable. Had them done about 2 months ago on the Magnum....so far, so good. $44 for all 4. Takes about 20 minutes.

I am going tomorrow to get mine done. Have a few friends that swear by it. Living in Ohio w/ a rear wheel drive is no fun.
