Programing keys again
I'm a proud loving owner of a 2006 Dodge Magnum, I only wish they still made them. I'm coming up to 150k this is the most miles I've ever put on a car! I've usually worn them out in 10 years or 100k by now.
OK I've read all the posts and yes I understand the procedure to program new keys. That said there are conflicting posts on the subject please be patient one more time and help me program my keys.
First some posts say two working keys some say one, some say all buttons must work but you only use door unlock and panic for programming.
My situation is this. I have one key where the door open and panic buttons work it appears from the instruction these are the only two buttons needed to start the program procedure.Presuming this is correct my plan is to start the programming as describe using this part of my working key. If this is true and can start the programming I will then program the two new keys I'm buying. If they program I then plan on opening the cases and installing the electronics into the original cases with the currently cut keys. Am I wasting my time or does this sound like a good plan? And can I test the programing initiation without erasing my current programed key?
