Default 2006 Magnum SE shifting & cruise control not always working

I have a 2006 Dodge Magnum SE V6 2.7 l, the check engine light is on so I took it to the local parts store and got them to run a computer diagnostic on it to tell me what the trouble codes are. The diagnostic test came back with two separate codes P0340, and p0016. These codes indicate that there's a faulty camshaft position sensor and or a crankshaft position sensor. Although the car cranks over fine with no hesitation, runs fine without backfiring or missing and turns off without sputtering. The symptoms are the car seems to shift prematurely out of first in the second and from 2nd to 3rd, however it will not shift into overdrive. Which makes take off very sluggish and results in very high RPM over 55 or 60 miles an hour. I have noticed that after the car sets turned off for a couple hours it will shift fine out of 1st 2nd 3rd gear even into overdrive for the first two minutes of run time after that it goes back 2 not working correctly. Also I've noticed for whatever reason the cruise control will also work during the first two minutes of run time after the car's been shut off for a while 2 more hours, but after the two minutes of runtime cruise control no longer works meaning it won't even turn on not just being able to not sit Cruise the light won't even come on that says it's on cruise control. I did change out the camshaft position sensor reconnected The Wire and still get the same results. So I'm wondering if changing the crankshaft position sensor will give me the same results as the new camshaft position sensor did. The camshaft position sensor was fairly easy to get to and replace, although I'm not sure exactly where the crankshaft position sensor is understand its a little more difficult to change. I do have some mechanical skills however I'm not a Certified mechanic and don't have all the tools needed to do extensive work I just wonder if this is something simple that I can figure out on my own or if I have to spend a lot of money to take it to a dealership.
