2005 Dodge Magnum Hemi Won't Start
Just purchased a 2005 Dodge Magnum hemi with 290,000 miles on it. replaced battery and starter. No fob, just a door key. Won't turn-over. Red light on dash blinks. Any thoughts as to the problem(s)?
You have strictly a door key (no fob) and there's a red light on the dash blinking at you as it won't start...c'mon, what do you think it is lol?
Since my original post, I realize the blinking light is the anti-theft security system and it is still on when it blinks. I have since added a new battery, new relays and circuit breakers in both fuse boxes, two new fobs that have been programmed to the new ECM, new starter motor, coil packs, spark plugs, EGR valve, ignition switch, and new negative battery cable. Now when I put the new fob in the ignition and turn it to start, the security system blinking light goes out but the car still won't turn over. When I turn the fob key to ignite the car, all I get is a clicking in the back fuse box. Nobody seems to know what is going on here. The only item I have not changed is the Park/Neutral switch. Any thoughts as to what still remains unrepaired sufficiently for this hemi to start and run?
