engine swap help

i just purchased a 05 rt magnum with a 5.7 hemi engine which is bad. everyone tells me the only direct replacement is a 05 magnum or 300 vin codes 2 or h. is this correct ? thanks for any help with this

Any 05-08 LX (300, Charger, Magnum) engine will be a drop in (they're identical), only difference being the coils and valve covers are different on the 05. Swap on the 06+ hardware and good to go.
