Dodge MagnumThe Dodge Magnum, the wagon that made wagons cool. The unique look of the Dodge Magnum makes any trim level, from SE to SRT-8, an absolute head turner.
2006 Dodge Magnum 2.7 engine---I had to crack open my cooling system for something and because of that I had to top it off with coolant---all was fine, until a couple days later and about 50 miles away from home the reservoir tank started steaming and bubbling (it appears the culprit at this point was the smaller hose coming from the tee connection where the heater hose goes into the heater core---nothing but steam coming out of it) and after shutting off the engine the lower radiator hose popped off the radiator (thank goodness for original equipment clamps, otherwise who knows what else could have "popped'"!!!) and there went the large portion of my coolant. Luckily I was planning on changing coolant anyway, so I had a couple gallons of distilled water and a gallon of anti-freeze with me, so after waiting for the engine to cool I replaced coolant and made my way home---the problem now is that the heater only works sporadically, and at times I still have a serious problem with steam coming from the inlet side of the heater core directly into the reservoir tank. I've searched the web a bit and it seems that the heater issue AND the radiator hose popping off is a fairly common problem with these, and it may very well be due to air in the cooling system, and I have read and read about how to bleed the system with the bleeder valve located on the water neck where the radiator hose goes into the engine, however I DO NOT HAVE A BLEEDER VALVE THERE!!! What to do??? Any help at all would be appreciated, as obviously I'm not about to drive the car until this is remedied---so any suggestions? I realize this might even be due to some issue with the heater core(???) but it seems to me, that with all the other posts I've seen regarding these same issues, and with all the mention of bleeding the system that I should start there before messing with anything else
---but how do I bleed the system without a bleeder valve where it's supposed to be?!? Thanks!!!
