I had swap from a 2.7 to a 3.5. But now it keeps throwing the code (Gear ratio error in 1st) p0731 so the car wont drive fast im guessing it staying in gear 1 and not changing and i also cant rev it without it eventually making a sputtering coughing feeling and sound. ..so far i
replaced
1.fuel pump and pump sender on the right
2.output speed sensor
3.input speed sensor
4.shift solenoid
5.computer
6.intake manifold
7.intake throttle
8.spark plugs
9.ignition coils
10.sensor on the air tube
11.sensor on the manifold
12.also changed the transmission fluid

Hello,
it seems to me your car goes into "limp mode" so it doesn't damage anything. Sounds like maybe you need your computer flashed or you need a tune installed.
Im not a Chrysler tech I'm just going by what I've seen through my friends vehicles.
I think if you seek out someone that could diagnose your issue through your computer you might have a better chance but maybe someone else could verify this before you spend the money on a custom tune.
Hope this helps you out.

Do you have the proper computer for the different engine? Probably the reason nobody wants to work on it is it's modified so much, they don't know how. On a Ford or GM, there are set modifications. On FCA, it's more amorphous. Unlike the old Chrysler Corp., there's not a standard procedure. Since a lot of shops work by book time, they don't know what to charge or how to do it.

You gave up on your existing thread? If so I will close that one so you don't have two different threads going on the same issue.
