Default 2006 Magnum, aftermarket stereo, no sound. no amp to be found

Please help. I have a 06 Magnum. 4 speaker system. I purchased new system. Now there is no sound. I cannot find an amp anywhere and not in the location under the steering wheel. Any advice would help me out. Thanks

Little more detail would be helpful. Did it work before? Are you sure it has an amp? Did you use wiring harness adapters or hardwire? What "system" did you buy?

Yes the factory stereo will play through the speakers. I bought a harness and wired it to the head unit ( Duel, double din). There is no Amp under the dash where it should be. I just assumed it may be elsewhere because of the similar sound issues I've seen online.

If you only have four speakers then you have the base sound system and you won't have an amp (as evidenced by the fact that you don't have one). If the original works but your aftermarket one does not, I submit that you wired it up wrong.

I've installed quite a few stereo's, it's wired the way asthe instructions said. I'll go through it again just to be sure. I tapped into the cigarette lighter for power and the unit comes on. Is there anything else that I can look at?
