2007 Magnum. Abs locks up while in drive without touching the brakes
I have a 2007 magnum rt awd with an abs problem. Almost every time you put the car into drive the abs will lock up all four wheels and render the car immobile (pretty scary when you pull into traffic). You can hear the abs on the wheels pulsating. It usually happens when pulling out from a stop but has also happened at 30 mph. Other times the car will drive without issue. I found out that by pulling the 50 amp abs pump fuse #21 the car can be driven without incident you just have to deal with the lights on the dash. My first thought was the abs pump or the module. I replaced the abs pump and still the same issue. Replaced the abs module with a junk yard part and found out it has to be coded to the vin of the pcm (vin # mis match code). Took it in to be coded and they could not code the new abs module because it said there was still pressure on the brake pedal (9 psi) and the garage said it was probably a bad brake switch since the car shows no symptoms of pressure being applied (wheels turn freely) and that the original abs module was probably ok. Brake switch has been replaced, original module coded to the vehicle is back in. Still locks up and throws no codes. Anyone experienced this? Maybe a bad brake booster or master cylinder?
