Default Autostick

I just experenced somthing tonight that just kind of blew my mind, I went down to the drag strip and made a few passes went pretty well until i ran with the autostick at WOT and it was like someone was granny shifting the trans for me.......it was terrible, there was like a .5 to .75 second delay in the shift...I only was able to get into 3rd beacause of all the delay and almost got whooped by a SRT4(not saying that they are slow...which they are not!) but wow anymore of a power drop and delay and i would have gone through the windshield...it was that bad ..really!
I have seen those thinggys from GS Motorsports thats supose to help with this problem (didn't think i needed one until tonight)...but has anyone used one and does it work? and what about the tranny, can it take full power shifts with killing itself?

input please

Aloha

Craig

The trannies are pretty beefy. Its the same as used in AMG Mercedes and some of those are over 500 hp. The few times I ran mine, I just left it in 1st gear and it shifted itself at maximum performance points without touching it. Mine is an early car, so I dont know for sure if the trans is still set up that way but I would assume it is.

In the end thats how i ran it too...just left it in drive and let the tranny do all the shifting.......but i think i could have gotten better passes if i was able to shift it out, i just really couldn't believe how the car reacted with the autostick at WOT

I didnt use drive..... I put it in 'first' gear manually and left it there. It will shift thru 2nd and 3rd on its own at max power.

The night I ran the track had ZERO traction so it did a 13.9 best but the 60' was awful ...like 2.1 or something ...all the car did was spin ....I will probably be going back tonight to see if I can control the wheel spin a little better and better that ET

FYI I think most guys in the cont US would run alot better ...the barometeric pressure in hawaii is awsome but the humdity just kills power.

Isn't there a reset using the gas pedal? I remember reading that the car adjusts for your driving. By doing this reset, the rocket is ready to jump again. Do a search for it.
