I have a friend who just got a magnum. Do they make a programmer for the Magnum or can use any one just as long as the engine type is the same. I.e. Use mine for the 5.7 on his 5.7?

 

based from what i have read and heard on here and around the web, is that the programmer will be VIN specific ....that is to say that it just "swaps' programs and locks out any other attempts to retrieve the program, except for only that VIN. Do a search there have many threads about this topic. As for a program for the hemi in the ram and in the magnum, i heard the problem isn't the difference in the engines, but the tranny differences. Some one may have more info .....or if there is any new news I also would like to hear about it.

 

You are correct..................you can only use the programmer on one car!!!!!!!!!

They use the car's VIN number to prevent you from sharing the programmer with your friends.

They may be dumb, but they ain't stupid!

They would lose a lot of money if you could share the programmer.

The programmer probably won't be out until spring....................
