Default electrical problem

2005 magnum RT - headlights will go off and on at night (not safe) so I don't drive at night. Dealer unable to help!! They say they can't recreate the problem. They replaced the switch but still goes off. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Short, bad ground, bad connector(s). Has the dealer driven it at night or have you had a tech ride along so they can see the issue?

Wasn't there when they worked on it. Did I mention the car had 3 inches of water in the floor boards when I bought it. Wonder if that had something to do with it? The speedometer doesn't work either. Their comment on that was that I need a new instrument cluster.

Why on earth would you buy a vehicle with 3" of water in the floorboards? At any rate, in order for the dealer to help you, they will need to actually see the problem. You will have to figure out how to duplicate the issue and then physically show them. Dropping it off at the dealer and hoping it happens to them is an exercise in futility as you now see. If they give you a new instrument cluster based on a guess and that does not fix it, then what?
