Deceleration ticking

2005 magnum rt rwd, 170k with 10k on rebuilt 5.7. While decelerating from 40-15 mph I get a ticking, like baseball cards on spokes. Progressively louder the past 2.5k miles. No transmission slippage. Tranny guy said “maybe catalytic converters”. Utube-Maybe timing chain, but sounds like coming from tranny area.
