I have recently replaced the 3.5L V6 in my 07 Magnum The replacement engine was pulled from an 07 Charger. I have followed the factory service manual completely, or at least as far as I know and I am now having a repetitive problems in shortly after a few starts the engine destroys the inside of the starter motor. I can only think this is happening because the bendix is hanging up on the flexplate and therefore the engine is driving the starter motor through the bendix and causing the insides of the motor to literally break apart. This has now happened three times. You have to be grateful for a lifetime warantee! Does anyone know what else the cause for this to happen could possibly be? I am completely out of possible reasons and solutions.
