Flowmaster exhaust on Magnum R/T
Does anyone have experience with the installation of a Flowmaster exhaust system causing a rattling or banging sound on an '05/'06 Magnum R/t? I had a Flowmaster 17405 system installed today,( on my 2006 Magnum R/T,)
and it sounded and worked fine until a few blocks from the muffler shop when lifting my foot from the gas pedal resulted in a rattling, banging sound. Took it back to the shop and nothing looked loose on the rack, even the test drive no sound, but as soon as I got a few blocks from the shop, the sound returned.
Any ideas?

i put on my own flowmaster kit on my 05 RT Magnum sounds great about a week or 2 after i put it on i would get a noise when i turned left took it to the dealer and they found out that it was the exsaust rubbing when it shifts.
They spaced out the small bracket that hangs below the front of the pipes where the cats are.
Also they put smaller clamps on the pipes where the new pipes hook to the cats. because they were a little to big and rubbing.
and lastly they just shifted stuff around and made sure all the pipes were tight
Because i took it to the dealer it caust me about 80 dollers after parts labor and their time looking at it. but no more noise so i dont care
its up to you what you do. just make sure everything is tight and not rubbing, the clamps they send along are kinda goofy and can get loose.
other then that i love the sound of the flowmasters.

with my magnaflow I did have a clearance problem with the crossmember, only druring very hard accelerations or if I hit big bumps in the road would the exhaust hit ...look for the little rub marks on the pipes where they run over the crossmember.
I ended up smashing the crossmember a lttle to clear the pipes
Good Luck
