New Owner....LOTS of questions
Hello everyone,
I picked up a used 2005 RT with 18K miles on saturday.
I want to change my oil tomorrow and I would like to know what is "recommended"
I am in South Florida where it is hot all year long.
Is is hard to change?
I had a 99 Dakota and changing it was a piece of cake.
Is it recommended or even good to use prolong in the Hemi Engine?
One last thing....
Looking to buy a 6CD/Mp3 OEM Player, anybody has one for sale?

RE: New Owner....LOTS of questions
make sure you use the correct weight oil or the MDS won't work correctly and your gas mileage will go to the dumps.
use only 5w-20 and nothing else. i only use Mobil 1 5w-20
changing the oil yourself is a very easy job. you need to remove the four 10mm headed bolts holding the lower splash pan on. then everything is right there and easy to reach.

RE: New Owner....LOTS of questions
I just did my 1st oil change.(2600mies) I use Mobil 1 5w20 and recommend the same. I plan to run the oil 6k miles but change the filter at every 3k.
As stated before its and easy change for a DIY'er. You'll need an oil filter cap wrench as a strap wrench will not fit up there. If your working with a floor jack just lift the right front and use a jack stand. 10mm for skid cover and 13mm for oil plug. Don't over tighten them.
