What year is your car? I have a 06 Magnum 5.7. It is suppose to be a slap type shifter. However I have not tried it, being affraid of messing up my tranny. Oh I see above you have a 05. Is it a Hemi or V-6?

The stock shifter is very slow to respond in manual. Nothing like actual manual. Check with B&M and see if they make an actual slap shifter for your car.

I agree with checking with B&M. I had a complete tranny kit in one of my previous cars (AMX), and that made a big difference in the shifting. I not only bought a new shifter, but the tranny kit as well. It was not hard to do, only took a few hours. That car would cherp the tires with each shift.

The Superchips Flashpaq for the hemi's has a paddle shift with gear hold settings. Shifts quick and firm into the next gear and will not autoshift. you have the option of autoshift also

The Superchips Flashpaq may do the trick but is there a less expensive to just improve the sluggish shift without spending $550.00?
