Default Hypertech install update

I finally ran my tank out of 89 and filled with 93 octane..Plugged in the Programmer and it was very very easy to install. Just follow the instructions that read out on the face of the programmer.. Reg. stock or prem gas? Rev limiter goes up 500 rpms in 100 rpm jumps(left mine stock) If I was going to the track then I would change it.raised top speed to 147 instead of 128(could go higher).Press Y or N keys or arrows and you are done..It first downloaded stock flash then uploaded my choices..It reads you in % as it is loading then it promps you to the next step..Instructions said that if engine light stays on or if you hear pinging after install to call them..But everything was fine...cleared one dtc...which needs to be done if you have any before install..My friend that went with me after I put my Volant CAI and Borla cat back a few months ago took a spin with me..I really felt the difference..My friend said he doesn't remember his neck snapping back last time out and when he took me for spin I actually felt it in the pit of my stomach(for a second or two)the feeling like when a roller coaster takes its steep dive from the top..Felt great..Now this is my opinion as I only bought this to run regular gas eventually. But I wanted to try the 93 first..Can change settings back and forth by just plugging it in and following the promps..Even with reg gas you will get more hp and trq...Now I will go see my nephew who has 5.7 GTO to get his take on it..He drove it before I did any mods....You won't be dissapointed...Any more than this for me will certainly cost me points on my license which has been clean(so far) for many years

If you bring the car in for some service, do you have to reset back to the factory settings? Was just wondering. I know I had a chip in my old truck, and the chip blocked the service guys from reading codes and stuff. I had to pull it when I brought it in. Just wondering for future reference....

Anytime you take your car in for service, it is a good idea to go back to stock settings first.

If you know when you are going in for service you should change it back to stock(few minutes) From what I read when the dealer plugs in port you will lose your upgrade and then will have to send it back to Hypertech to reset it..If you are going in for something that does not need computer info just let them know not to flash the computer..Oil change, tire rotation etc.But worse case you just need to send it back for reset
