Lowering Springs
Does anyone have 22's on their magnum and have lowered it. I have some room in the fender well, but wanted to close it up. If someone can let me know what manuf. you used and how much did you lower?
Thanks

What's up? I currently have 20's on mine but i did once have 22's. The only concern with a larger wheel is that nasty bolt at the top of the wheel. I shaved off the bolt to accomodate my 22's and it was still wearing into my tire some.
When I first got my RT I too wanted to close off the top gap between the tire and the well. I thought that by getting a larger diameter wheel I would achieve this but I soon found out it did'nt make a difference.
I then invested in a set of Eibach Pro-kit Series lowering springs. Approx. 1.0" to 1.5" lower. They do make a set of Sportline Series springs that is more extreme (i think about 1.7" - 2.3"). The sport series will almost put the top of your tire into the well. Click here for more insight.
You will have to be very careful around driveways and speed bumps with those.
I can get over most of the obstacles with the Pro Springs by slowing to an almost crawl speed.

I dont have a Magnum, but I've seen plenty of lowered cars and drive one currently. The Eibach Pro-Kits are decent....I'd recommend the Pro System Plus....with the anti roll bars and dampers plus the springs. More of an all around kit.
My car is riding on 17" aftermarket wheels, but the stock size for my ride was a 17" If you saw a stock version of my car, you'd easily notice mine has been lowered....
I've got the Eibach springs on my car...and I would recommend them if your going to lower your car....by the way, I love that color Magnum.....

Thanks for your input. Looks like the consensus is Eibach.
Magmania, I know what you are saying about that bolt. I was concerned when I first got the wheels put on. I have about 2" from it and looks like I will be good to miss it.
Again, thanks for the advise.
