Default Hey all

New to the forum and just looking for a place to get some good info on the car I just bought. 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T.

My first impression is its kind of a neat car but its seriously in need of some mods. I will say for a 4000lbs beast it has a little snap. I am used to my 2000 vette which ran mid to high 11 1/4's but with 2 daughters now and 1 only 9 mos old it just wasnt working for me anymore.

I like the lines on the Magnum and having never owned a Dodge before to say the least I was pretty uncertain. Only other Dodge sporst car I have driven is my buddies R/T Viper and frankly I didnt care for that car. Nice brute power but lacking in alot of areas, I'm more of a 1/4 mile guy vs a track guy so I decided since my vette beat him in the 1/4 with my A/C on I liked my car better!!

Anyway the corvette forum I used to frequent was awesome for info and parts so I'm hoping the Dodge community is the same.

I can see wheels, full exhaust including Long tubes, cold air intake, dyno tune, maybe a stall converter, and that locking rear diff in the near future. Anythin else I can do easily I'm missing? Car is still under warranty so heads/cam and laughing gas a no no for now.

Hmm so the flashpac is the way to go for these cars? On my vette you actually put it on the dyno and specially tuned it not a "mail order" tune one size fits all.

so far, the superchips or a jet chip is as good as it get. there are no real tuners yet. the performance market is just starting to come out for these cars. in time, we should have all the goodies the vets have.

Man I hope it doesnt turn out like the vette market did. I could buy anything but yhe special "vette" tax made mod parts 2X as expensive than say camaro or mustang parts, manyfacturers and vendors really soaked us.
