hrmm, anyone had that too?

first air bag lamp flickers on and off and since yesterday it stays on. I wonder what that might be?

does anyone know where the air bag controller module is located in that car, I just got the complete work shop manual on CD but haven't had time to go through everything in detail.

 

so, have been at Chrysler dealer and had codes checked. Of course, one steady code for driver side air bag, something like "ignitor circuit open".............

guess what, I force the steering wheel a couple of times in and out and up and down today and code gone. Seems like a bad wiring somewhere in the steering wheel. Very comforting, in case of something bad happens I hope that air bag does what it is supposed to do!

have to admit in all my years of Impala and Cadillacs something like that was unheard of.............

 

I have the same problem. and to be honest I can live with the stupid light the incescent dinging of the warning bell is driving me nuts. I took it to the dealer and they said they "reset a switch and it is not on anymore and there were no codes" So I go out and start the car and guess what.. It's on. I told the service guy to come out and look for himself. to which he said, In your best homer simpson voice. "Doh I didn't work on it"

As much as I like this car when the lease is up this hunk of you know what is gone!!!

Thanks for the tip about the tilt steering worked like a charm. Stupid light/annoying bellhasnt been on since I messed with the tilt steering on friday.
