BRILLED BRAKE ROTORS
Hello, I'm thinking of buying a Magnum soon and I was hoping that some of you could give me some information on the brakes.
The brakes seem soft on this car. I have a protege (got only for saving gas so don't laugh!!!) and with a few mods it handles and brakes like a supercar. When I'm not in it I drive an 05 F150 4door. I said that so you know I'm used to driving a bigger vehical. My question is this, is there and has any one put drilled/slotted rotors on their Magnum? Did it mess with the braking system? What are the good pro's and conn's to this car? Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Bryan

The stock brakes on the Magnum are very good. There are several aftermart big brake systems available. There are also several companies that make rotors for the Magnum. But adding drilled or slotted rotors will not improve your braking. You will need to go to a larger rotor and calipers with additional pistons for noticable stopping improvements.
Thanks for the info. All though I haven't seen any magnums with a brake kit I would like to try to find some one that has at lest the D/S rotors. I know you don't think that they help but I can say they do. At least on my protege they do.
As far as the SRT-8, If I could afford that I would even consider it. lol There are way to many cars for 45+k.
