Moonroof issues, any wisdom?
About three months ago, the moonroof on my 2005 Magnum stopped closing all the way. It was failing to seal completely at the rear.
I took it to my 5 star Dodge dealer, where they reset the computer, solving the seal problem, but causing a new one:
Now the moonroof fails to open as wide as it did before. Before, it backed all the way up the the leading edge of the moonroof shade so that no glass was exposed when fully open, now a significant amount of glass hangs out beyond the shade.
The service tech says it's true that my moonroof opens about 1/4" less than the other 05's, but I think it's more, as much as 1.5 to 2 inches.
I know it's not an Eath-shatterer, this problem of mine, but it's annoying the heck out of me, any ideas what might be going on here?

My 05 RT sunroof is not completely hidden within the ceiling when open but that is how it has been since the beginning. So for me that is "normal".
I personally feel that I'd rather have it close all the way as opposed to open all the way.

I would say there is anatural plane for the roof to open and close, your problem was it went to far back so that is why it wouldnt close. There is just a set distance to travel. At first it went too far back and not forward enough. I would estimate mine is about 2 inches from the resting place of the inner cover.
Hmm, not so sure that explanation flies. The roof was fine in all ways for a year and a half. It opened completely and closed completely.
The failure to seal appeared spontaneous and unrelated to any change (because there was no change) in how far the roof opened.
