Default Question for 65standard (or anyone who knows)

Tony, I went to the local dealership in regards to the intermittant drivers side rear window problem. They tell me that they checked for and did not find a TSB on that issue. The closest thing he found was a TSB regarding the window binding up (usually while going up) and the fix was to check and correct the window (glass) guides. He said he found nothing there about changing out the regulator.

He said my warranty would cover the regulator but they would need to varify the problem. Odds are it will not act up while the car is in their presence.

Can anyone refer me to the specific TSB number so that I can have some concrete information to put in front of their faces?
The TSB link above says something to the effect that it does not list all TSB's know to the factory. I can not find that specfic TSB on that link.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

I dont know if they have a tsb, but mine got fixed because they said it was common. They are a very small dealer, so if they knew about it. If it helps, it says job # 23341005 part #5065473AC. That window works better than the rest now. Good luck!

i just told the dealer that the left rear window doesn't work. they said it was common and needed to order a regulator. when i brought the car in to get the work done, i told them it was working now. they changed it anyways. there is no real TBS for this. tell them to replace the regulator under 23-038-04 rear glass binding.

Thanks for the clarification. At this point now I am dealing with the Service Manager (not the idiot Service Advisor). The manager has been 100 times more helpful than the schmo below him so hopefully I can get this resolved. Thanks again.

The one that a lot of people use is 23-038-04
not sure if it will be covered after the warranty expires.

SUBJECT:
Rear Door Glass Binds
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inspecting and refitting or replacing a rear door glass run and
insuring the glass is properly installed in the glass run.
MODELS:
2005 (LX) 300/Magnum
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Door glass binds or stalls, usually in the up direction.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the window regulator moves the rear window partially through full travel and the window
stalls, the window is likely mis-installed in the rear glass run below the window sill, perform
the Repair Procedure.
