Question for Magmania
Has anyone else had a problem with their headlights fogging up? I thought I had it cleared up but after driving in a heavy rain one of the headlights fogged up again. I want to ask, any of you that installed the Viper Hood, did you re-install your hoods heat shield? I have not and I am wondering if that is why I am having this problem. Is it possible because I don't have the shield installed, could the heat be getting behind the light and the cool rain (or sprinkler ) causing it to fog up! Do you have a snapshot of the underside of your hood? I would like to see how you install the shield and kept the scoop functional.
My heat shield is installed. The body shop that did the hood put my original back on. I then took a razor and cut out around the scoop outlet.
Are your lights fogging up on the inside or outside? If its internal there must be a crack or hole somewhere on the light housing. Sounds like it's probably condensation on the inside of the light. I would just replace the light (which probably costs an arm and a leg).

Yes it's on the inside. I didn't have the problem until I installed the hood. I don't see any visible cracks or hole. I hear they are expensive. I think I'll buy a new hood heat shield and see if that helps before buying a headlight.
