Default New to Forum - Questions About Da Magnum

Hello All. I was looking around for a new vechicle, I currently drive a '01 PT , and was dead set on getting an G35 coupe...but really thought about it and came to the conclusion that with a baby in a year or two I needed to be more practical and needed a more family friendly ride. So I've been very interested in the magnum. Nice looks, power in some models, customizable, oh yeah - and seems like it would be good for a family car. I was wondering The pros & cons of the car, What you guys love & hate the most about it. I have driven a friend's R/T a couple of blocks and loved the power... compared to my 150 HP cruiser...
I'll shut up now.....

I honestly can say I absolutely hate nothing about this car!!! It is awesome. I just came back from a camping trip, 1800 kms, 23mpg, 10.3l/100k. I would sit in the campsite and just stare at the car. As for driving, it is a dream, I gladly give up the mpg just for the shear enjoyment of the drive. I unfortunatley broke my leg 3 months ago, and havent been able to drive, but I make anyone who goes out with me pick me up, and then drive my car! I feel sorry for them when they have to leave in theirs lol!!! I havent even started customizing yet, as I havent been able to work since the break. Although, I have my lineup already. Ill start with the rims prob 22, mayb 20" Incubus. The Viper hood, if anyone is starting a group buy let me know!!!, then KN CAI, throttle body spacer and, Superchip all at once. End it with a Focal stereo, and a supercharger when the warranty runs out!

Hello Trae, Welcome to the forum. I also can say that i love almost everything about this car. I have the RT and it performs beyond my expectations and the MDS is a bonus in these times of high gas prices. I too love to look and oggle at my car. I find myself looking back at it 3 or 4 times after parking it.

About the only thing that I do not like is... I have accumulated 5 speeding tickets over the last 2.5 years of having it. I have since learned to be more disciplined about that aspect of driving it. But I do absolutely love my car!

Hear! Hear! to all the above!!!!!!!!!!! I towed my boat 6 hours and it is not a problem sitting in there for that amount of time.
It still gets looks and we love it.
Did our family reunion fast run and last year was 105 mph this year was 115 mph (thought the wife was asleep) 13 year old looking over shoulder and was lovin' it!
It still sucks that I have to ask the wife to take it.

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum myself - although I have been lurking for a little while. I don't own a Magnum yet, but I'm planning on buying one in a couple of years. I just love the look of the Magnum.
I figured I'd join and start planning out what I want to do to the car well in advance.

I'm a performance guy, so I'll be looking to add some serious power and have fun with the car.
I drove a Charger for 2 weeks and it was a nice car, but is waaay too heavy. Has anyone here put their Magnum / Charger on a diet??
