The new Magnum is one of the best engineering and design changes to come out in a LONG time. I picked up my new Magnum on Premier night and just one word will describe it -- AWESOME!!!

Rides great, runs great (don't have the Hemi but the 3.5 is pretty punchy anyway, espceially once you get it over 2800RPM). The custom interior is from Katzkin Leathers, intalled by Houston Auto Trim along with the Audiovox DVD w/ surround sound. Wheels are 20" Metal Ice w/ TOYO rubber. Hemi or not, this thing handles and rides great.

$1500 plus tax. NOt bad, much better than the factory leather and way cooler looking!

 

Very cool interior! I have considered the DVD set-up that you have but with the sunroof it doesn't seem workable. I am going for 5" monitors in the headrests.

I like the Katzkins. We're looking at Wet Okole seat covers because the kids like to make messes. Can't have a jacked up interior in a new Magnum. Wet Okole doesn't have rear covers though.

 

That's correct. Won't work with the sunroof. I opted for the overhead without the hole in the roof 'cause in Houston, I get enough sun as it is without bringing more of it in the car if you know what I mean. Headrest video is pretty cool. I've seen some that are a breeze to setup with minimal headache. Drop me a pic when you get through with it.

So why not take the 1500 you spent on interior and the money you spent on wheels and tires and get the RT?

 

Good question with a simple answer. I don't have the need for speed in this ride, just looks and comfort. I mean, the 3.5 w/250+ horse (took mine to my buddy's shop and put it on the dyno and 264 horse) is fast enough for me. 0-60 in 7.2sec, 1/4 in 15.1sec, documented. Top speed 132 at the Houston Raceway. Not bad for a family wagon if you know what I mean. Just have no justificatino for the extra pony power, not pulling anything with it and don't plan on any street/strip racing. The Hemi is awesome though and would have been fun to tool around in but..........

I know you will enjoy your ride with the Hemi for sure. This is truly one of the coolest looking rides Chrysler corp has come out with in a long time. Enjly!
