Default Throttle Delay on 3.5L engine

I got my 06 Magnum SXT with 3.5 L engine almost a month ago.

Is the throttle delay on the electronic throttle something I'm just going to have to get used to or am I the only one experiencing this?

The most noticeable time is from a stop right after I back up out of my driveway put it in Drive and press on the gas... I presssssss then the engine revs up. It's not linear. It's almost as if the first portion of the pedal travel is dead then suddenly the engine reacts.

After it's running it's not so bad. (or it could be that I just get used to it) But first thing in the morning is when I notice it the most.

Is this something that's normal or not?

Thanks,
MAP

you can do the throttle recalibration mod like well described here in the forum. Works well for me on my SXT anytime I apply it.........

I've had this, do the following:

Pull fuses 11 and 14 from the front fuse box.
Turn key to on, wait for all chimes to stop (so you can hear chimes later in process)
turn and hold key to start postion
in about 10 seconds you'll hear a chime, 5-10 seconds more you'll hear chime #2
Turn off key
re-install fuses
You're off to the races now.

i did that differently like I have read here in the forum.

-switch ignition on but do not start,
-wait until all idiot lights go off,
-very quickly depress gas pedal
-count to five,
-jump off gas pedal and turn ignition key to off at same time

that didi it for me, but there are apparently many roads to Rome........
