Dip Stick for 5 speed auto transmission?
My 2006 Magnum came with no dipstick to check the fluid level of the transmission... The salesman said it was a completely sealed unit...
Whatever... all transmissions are sealed... That's some silly gimmick.
Anyway, the dealer obviously uses a dipstick to check the fluid. Can this dipstick be bought from the dealer?
Thanks,

From the PDF of the service manual I have.
Salesmen fo the most part have no clue about the mechanicals..
1. Verify that the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
2. Remove the dipstick tube cap.
WARNING: Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury from contusions
and burns if you insert your hands into the engine when it is started or when it is running. Secure
vehicle to prevent it from moving off by itself. Wear properly fastened and close-fitting work clothes. Do not
touch hot or rotating parts.

They use a temperature /level probe. It is a special stick that at a certain temp tell the tech what level it should be. DC isnt the only ones to use it. You could actually use a dipstick but would not do any good if you dont have a temp readout. The 4 speed is the same way. Sorry
