I was under the impression that the SXT had the 3.5l engine and it didnt have hub caps. I went to a dealer tonight and they had a used "SXT" - it had the SXT badge on the back, but the stoicker said - 2.7l engine, and it had hubcaps instead of rims. The dealer said that this was a rental car.....Could thtat have naything to do with it?

 

That would be news to me no SXT I know of has the 2.7L engine. Ask them to run the VIN if you are interested in the car. Hubcaps sounds like a Enterprise cost saver or the dealer trying maximizing profit.

Sounds like dealer just slapped a SXT badge on her.

 

VIN will get you all you need to know about the car...on another forum there is an explanation of what the code translates into.

 

i just looked the VIN up on carfax - it says it is an sxt with 3.5l engine....
