Default mobile one question

ok i switched my car to synthetic oil, and im was wondering how long the mobile one oil lasts? i know its more than 3k, but the guess at the mobile said i should bring it in every 3k, but it doesnt make sense bc isnt synthetic oil supposed to last a lot longer than regular oil?

it is supposed to last longer, but no matter what you do the filter also has an optimum functioning range, and as soon as it reaches it, it ruins the oil. The benefit it gives to the engine is worth the extra money. Do the regular changes.

I run a quick lube and 5 or 6k is fine I run my mag on 6k with mobile 1 and the oil is in good shape. Remember if you do a lot of HWY miles this is not as sever as city ,start, stop type driving.

I use Castrol Synthetic in mine. Run it 6000 miles between changes. Synthetic withstands heat far better. I dont use Mobile myself because a lot of the guys in my Corvette club had trouble when they switched to Mobile with leaks developing. That seems to happen a lot to older ones that didnt have Mobil from the factory. I hear that it has more/ powerful solvents and that it dont cause the leaks, just lets worn seals that were already borderline start leaking. Based on that, Id say mobile is fine on your newer engine. I did make sure to put a few regular 3000 mile changes with dino oil before I switched to allow rings and bearing to seat correctly.

I use Mobil 1 and change it every 5000 miles without any issues so far.
