Default Shifter **** Removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the shifter **** from my '05 Mag? Does it simply screw off or is there a trick?

I thought there was a set screw just at the bottom of the grip on the front side (maybe an allen screw).

Just twist it off. No problem. A number of aftermarket ***** do have set screws at the bottom covered by a screw on sleeve.

Here is mine:

Thanks guys, I thought it screwed of but it seemed stuck and I didn't want to force it. Off it comes and on goes my good ol' fashioned 8-ball.

Ya, just unscrews counter clockwise. I put on a shift '****' made out of a 44 Magnum cylinder complete with shell casings. I thought it was appropriate. also have 44 Magnum shell casings on tire valves and door lock buttons.
