Default Warranty Time?

2006 Magnum SXT, recent buy at 19500 miles at a Toyota dealership. Now has 20500. Just mounted RT wheels and Goodyear Assurance. Looks cool . Drives great. Traded in my Camry XLE 4cyl. I'm a wagon guy. I drive over 600 miles/week in AZ, 80% hwy. Averaging 25 MPG. Not bad for this ride. One issue: I'm leaking some tranny fluid when I park facing forward on a downhill slope. Park on level ground and not a drop. From the threads I assume O-rings. Here's the big issue: it consumed a quart of oil in 700 miles! No leaks and no smoke out the tailpipe. It's going to a Dodge dealer tomorrow and wonder what kind of treatment I'm going to receive. Any experiences with this problem? Very concerned. Thanks.

Congrats on your cool wagon. I love the hell out of mine, hope yours treats you well.
There is a TSB on a transmission leak from the pan seal. Click here to view the TSB
My RT is currently having the same issue. It goes in on warranty next week.

To clarify: the second issue is that it consumed one quart of "engine" oil in 700 miles. Yipes

Sorry bout that. I have'nt had that issue at all so far as I know. I am going in for my 60k service next week. I prepaid all of my oil changes when i financed the car. I'm pretty religious about having it changed every 3000 miles. I there ever was a problem the service department has never said so.

That's definately a weird one. Let us know what the service write up is on that.

Ok, car went in and trans o-rings done. So far so good. Drove another 700 miles and no engine oil used. What the.....? I had added a quart and then it used another half quart, topped it off again and it is still at the max line for the last 700 miles. Same type of driving. Will be keeping a close watch. The power steering whines in all positions. Mechanic states he ordered a line clamp which is supposed to be the fix to quiet it. We'll see. Problem is that while at the dealership I drove a 2005 RT, vanilla, tan leather, 24K miles, super clean condition, certified vehicle. Yipes! My SXT does what I need it to do: 600 miles per week, 80% hwy. But the RT is impressive. We talked some numbers but nothing solid occurred.
I drove Mercedes wagons for years (123 and 124 body styles) and the magnums are suprisingly similar. The cruise control stalk that others complain about troubles me none. I just hope this car holds up.
