How can you stop that Seatbelt Chime?
The enhanced "beltminder" feature can be disabled or enabled by the using the following producture. Note: the following events must occur within sixty 60 seconds of the ignition switch being placed in the On position.
1. With the ignition switch in any position except On or Start, buckle the driver side front seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the On position and wait for the seatbelt indicator reminder function to conclude (about six seconds).
3. Unbuckle and buckle the driver side front seat belt three or more times, ending with the belt buckled.
4. Turn the ignition switch to any position except On or Start to toggle the beltminder feature from its current setting (from active to inactive, or from inactive to active). A single chime tone will provide an audible confirmation that the programming sequence has been successfully completed.
This should do it for you, good luck.

Thanks! Worked like a charm. I pretty much always wear my seatbelt but if you are driving in a parking lot store to store etc it nice to ditch that sound.
I do also, but some times I'm backing out of the drive snapping the belt at the same time and that dinger drilling me got very old. Glad to see DCX gave us an out.
<edit> Glad to see those that choose to use this feature like it. [sm=icon_rock.gif]

Yep same for me. I sometimes do a bunch of quick stops within a few blocks. And is it just me, but I find where the buckle is located sort of awkward to reach easily....seems like maybe its too far back. None of my other cars including the vette are as hard to get buckled as the Magnums. Id hate to be in some emergency situation and trying to unbuckle like say submerging in water or catching fire.

Your right, the buckle is in a awkward location.

I wonder if this same sequence will also work for the passenger side. When my wife has to give our daughter her pacifier, she needs to unbuckle in order to reach back there and the ding is driving us INSANE!!! I'll give this a shot either tonight or tomorrow and post up my findings.
