according to the owner's manual, they suggest 89 octane fuel in the magnum. does anybody have an opinion otherwise?

 

89 is recomended but I have a friend that has a Dodge 1500 with a Hemi in it and he is running 87 and he does not see any performance difference.

I am going to wait till after my first oil change and try 87 for a couple of tank fulls and see if I can feal a difference.
