I posted this in the stereo section with lttle response so far so I thought that I would give it a try here to see if anyone else has encountered this.


I replaced the factory head unit of my 05 magnum with a new alpine cd, mp3 player a few months ago. I had a retail store do the install so I do not know which harness they used. Just after install the airbag light on the dash appeared and the annoying part is the bell chimes non stop. The stereo company says they have no idea what the problem could be and the Dodge dealership states that the radio communicates with the airbag and that is the issue. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it. And I am also curious if the airbag is still functional. Thanks.
