Default Daytime Running Lights Available, free

Just thought Id post that if you dont have the feature and want it (It is actually a good feature in rain etc when you wnat to have lights on the dash dims and its hard to read the digital displays. DRL turn the lights on (reduced power) and leave the dash lights bright..

Also alot of states its the law: light and wipers.

Just FYI

Follow these steps:

1) go to the dealer and ask him to turn them on..

If you want the display brighter when your lights are on and you don't want DRLs scroll the dimmer switch up to "parade mode"

If you can get it free, go for it. Most dealers want about $40.00 to do it, if they have a Starscan person who knows how to use it. I am always surprised how many of those folks only know enough to read trouble codes and connect to DCX Central for updates.

I think that having headlights on in the daytime looks ugly, but I like the idea of DRL. So, on every car, including my RT,that I've owned, since my 1972 Vega, my DRL consist of having the Front Parking Lights on all the time! Just find a 12V source that goes on and off with the ignition and wire it to the bulb's small element. Looks cool - works great!!
It is amazing how well those little amber lights will show up! I can never know, but I do wonder, how many times over the last 35 years their glow has saved me from a nasty!!

Be careful what state you run parking lights only in, though. Even in the daylight. Alot of states will give you a ticket for that. (I know people it has happened to) because they are only supposed to be used when the car is sitting still. (Stupid, I know.) I personally turn my lights on as soon as I start the car just out of force of habit because I drive in Louisiana and I need all the help I can get down here!
