CAI & Programmer Questions for a new Magnum Owner
Hey everyone.
I just picked up a new (to-me) 2006 Magnum SXT 3.5L V6, Midnight Blue Pearl, last night. Lucked out and got one with only 17,000 miles on it for a steal.
Anyway, I was looking to add a CAI, not sure which one yet. I was looking through some old posts and someone had stated that you wouldn't really get the benefit of the CAI unless you used a programmer, this true?
Not sure about updating the exhaust just yet, may wait til this spring to do it, we'll see.
Thanks
PS - Pictures soon. Waiting for a nice day, and more time.

the best upgrade is the programmer, CAI may help your mpg a little, but besides that very little performance gain without an exhaust, what goes in must come out.
true you will get the best upgrades with everything at once. but it doesnt have to be all at once. i did my cai first you wont see any big differences but it sounds great. if you have to just start small and just keep going. you will see bigger dirrences when you start adding things. i went with the factory mopar intake and love it. my be a littel more costly not much, but the fit and finish is the best out there. good luck.
Sound would it be better to do the CAI and Exhaust together and hold off for a bit on the programmer?
Also, I noticed that the SC Flashpaq is for the 5.7L, will it work on the 3.5's? If not, which one does?
Thanks again.
