Hey all , i was just wandering if anyone has hooked up an after market amplifier to their stock stereo, is this possible? Does it have RCA's on the back of it? I have the 6disc/mp3/cassette player with 6 spkrs and i can't replace the head unit or my U-connect will no longer work, any info would be much appreciated thanks.

 

There is a problew with just hooking up the amplifier...I cant remember what it is called, but there is a system hooked upto the stock stereo that prevents alot of bass going to the system at higher volume levels to avoid blowing the speakers. I was told there was no way to circumvent this system without removing the stock unit. Your only real option is to go get the optional kicker sub, which in my opinion is not the way I will go. factory blows, and in a car like this it deserves the best.
