Gonna be going to the snow,, what is everyone doing about snow chains? I had to sign a waiver at the dealer saying
i wouldnt use snow chains!!! any ideas?????

My dad's friend said that her son put chains on his and took it up to Lake Tahoe. The chains ended up wrapped around his axle and the car was so damaged that he could'nt drive it back down the mountain without several thousands of dollars in repairs which were not covered under warranty.

I signed the same waiver. I either leave the car at home (which is hard to imagine) and ride up with someone else or I don't go up to the snow.

I would not take the chance.

Not good, I'd hate to be caught in that situation. Looks like an investment in snow tires (possibly studed) is the way to go.

if you need chains to drive your car, you have the wrong vehicle. get some snow tires if you really need to drive in heavy snow.
