Dodge Radio/CD/Sirius Radio's
I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum. I have had to have 4 seperate radios installed into My Magnum in the last 10 months. Where are these radio's made? The Cd player is the problem with all these radio installs. From Skipping on the CD's to the radio not being able to read the CD; whether the CD is a burnt CD or a store Bought CD. I have made over 10 seperate trips to dealers to get these radios's installed and reinstalled. I now have another CD on the way to be installed. This will make CD #5. Does Chrsyler have a QA problem with their equipment or what?????

Got a hold of Dodge and found out these OEM radios are made by Alpine. Called Alpineand they said they have not had any reports of defective units from Dodge. They were going to make a report and have a Manger from Alpine call me back about the trouble I have had with my Magnum. Will see if they actually do what they say. ???????
Want to take bets and see if Alpine actually returns the call???????

Interesting - Had no problem the first year and then what happens is that it will play one cd and stop. Not advance to the next cd. Will not play another until the car is shut down and the player resets. And then the whole thing locked up. Displayed radio station but no music, no clock advance, no on/off, nothing. Locked up like a rock. Shut down car and it all reset. Just took it in and they ordered a new stereo (probably same Radio 6 CD/Sirius setup as you have?.. It is in and awaing to be installed at the dealer. Will see what happens. Sort of discouraging to hear this kind of news. Good luck to us all.
