Default home made cool air??????

hey if i look in my air box..where the air filter is ...there is a hole that points down .towards the bottom of the car right over the fog light assembly ......has anyone removed the foglight and just ran a tube ,,,or a over sized hose or something???...im thinking ..it will bring cold ar right into the box ..its gotta be good for a couple of horsepower....and it might give that oldschool ..ram air look ...these new cars are made to run hot and run bettr when there hot ..or should i say more efficient....anyway ..im thinkin the cool air from outside couldnt hurt,,,,,and if ur worried about water...just hav some holes on the bottom side of the hose ..........anybody????

Several people have vented from that hole, all of them did different variants. Some to the fender well, others to the front.

I fitted up a 4" hose and ran it to the lower left corner of the radiator shroud, it pull air from the front lower left fascia opening in front of the radiator. No worry of water being pulled in because the incline was so steep by the time it hits that hole.

Play around with it and let us know what you come up with. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I also vented through the fog-lamp. Used a piece of 3" dryer hose. Works good, worst part was removing all of the stock crap.
