Default Strange Noises

I'm getting a strange ticking sound from behind the radio faceplate. It occurs randomly after i use the keyless to unlock the doors. it lasts for about 10 or 20 seconds (sometimes less) and to me it sounds like a relay going nuts. But im wondering if anyone else is having similar problems.

Default RE: Strange Noises

I have an SXT with over 2,100 miles now and I have not had this problem. Although I have other noise-related gremlins I'm trying to figure out.

1) Flapping noise above 50 mpg. This one I acutally figured out. I have loose foam in the rear of front fender panels. The foam is supposed to be glued down on one side, but mine has no glue whatsoever.

2) Tire patter. I have noticed from day one that my tires make a slight, albeit noticeble, "whoop whoop whoop" sound like you would expect from old or improperly worn tires. After they fixed my right-pulling alignment issue the noise went down a bit, but I still hear it, and I don't think a brand new car should make that noise. I will have them rotate and rebalance the tires next time I'm in. If that doesn't fix it, I am convinced the tires must be out of round and I will replace them ASAP. I have the Goodyear Integrity brand.

So let us know if you find the cause of your mysterious clicking.

This sounds exactly like a problem I had with my Corvette. I think dcguy2 could be correct, but my problem was a CD player that kept cycling through the loading process even while playing a cd or listening to the radio etc. It made a constant quick rhythmic clicking sound that was very annoying.

So have the dealer check on both. My problem was that it was difficult to duplicate.
