I had to 'enlarge' the rear mounting location, but my older 2 way infinity reference 6x9's fit fine..

Haven't taken apart the front yet.

Now.... Is it just me... or does the boston 6x9's have a **** load of bass for 6x9's or what? I truley am surpised. I swear with some of my CD's it sounds like there's a 8 or 10" sub in there. They get LOW, but they don't hit very hard. However, being standard 6x9's with a whizzer cone, they dont have very good speration between lows mids and highs.. makes it sound kind of 'muddied'... I'm trying to sell a laptop on ebay, and once it sells I'll be replacing the stock 6-disc mp3 player and the front two speakers. Going with a Blaupunkt Seattle... again, if my laptop sells

My truck I traded in on this had a sony head unit and mb quart 6.5 components up front and 4x6's in the back, with a 15" treo subwoofer. the mb quarts were powered with an orion 500w 4 channel amp, and the treo with a concept 800watt class-d mono block amp. The treo has moved to the car, taking up a good 1/2 of the cargo space in the rear, but it's not hooked up yet. rather than run a line level converter I decided to wait for an aftermarket hu with pre-amp outs.

Brian, here's a question off DodgeMagnum.net I still would like to see you answer.

Brian, I don't understand why you bought an SXT, then spent your time and $$ trying to make it look like an RT, i.e. wheels & stereo. Now you're going to polish the RT wheels you have just so that you can sell them to spend more $$ on 20" wheels? Your notes say you are waiting for the bugs to be worked out of the RT's before you buy one, but The "bugs" that Magnums have like front end alignment and body fit and finish in the RT version are shared with the SXT's. What bugs are you referring to that are unique to RT's?

If I recall, when I went on a test drive, the salesman, not a typical salesman,
he was more into test driving the Magnum than selling it...lol Anyway, he
made a statement about the Boston equipped Magnums having a sub up
under the dash, behind the stereo. Sounded odd at the time.....but I am
wondering how far off he was.

Dealer info says the sub is in the rear deck of the car...not the dash

I buy a car every two years anyways...have for the last 8 years. So for me to buy a car and "wait for the bugs to get worked out" is fine for me. I don't know of anyone that goes through cars the way I do or drives as much as I do. Driving 5000 miles a month I will find whatever issues are to be found...believe me. As to why I didn't buy a RT, I refuse to pay the $7000 markup that every dealer in my area has on the window. I am not paying almost $50,000 for a car that is $37,000 with all the options and should cost me $40,000 out the door. More power to those of you who rushed out and bought the RT. I will wait and see what shakes out with the cars. Chances are there will be a higher horsepower, better tuned, more performance parts available version in two years anyways when I get my next car. So while I appreciate your perspective and insight, I have thought out my senario and know what I am doing. In two years when I buy a new Magnum all my electronics can be easily migrated, the 20's or 22's can be swapped, and I can start ordering my performance parts with the cosmetic stuff already bought and paid for.

When you say "dealer info" where are you getting your dealer info?
It was the dealer that gave me the info.

I have to chuckle as I sit here and read all the postings about stereos and speakers, as to what fits and what doesn't fit.

Sorry guys, but I am not into radios or speakers, I hardly turn on my radio at all. Maybe it is all the years I spent riding motorcycles, but I just prefer the quiet.

My RT came with the optional 6 disc player radio, I would rather have had a sunroof.

I would rather listen to my Flowmasters.............sweet music.

Bob tone deaf?
