Default Fresh Air Venting

I have messed with all the buttons and ***** and even got out the manual to find out how to get fresh air through the vents without turning on the blower. Am I missing something or did Dodge not make it so fresh air would come through without blower being on.

That's the way most (I'm not saying all) modern cars work. Fresh air won't get to you unless the fan pulls it in.

My Road Runner and Barracuda have vent doors under the dash (separate from the rest of the ventillation system) that open to let fresh air in. But, both of those cars are older than me.

I guess you just have to open a window if the fan bothers you.

I think its an american car thing. My ML will alow air to flow with out the fan. I had a rental nissan and it allowed the same. My mustang does not however. I must say it is rather anoying.

Fan on low should not make noise and will circulate the air from the outside. I know there used to be seperate Vent doors that did not need the fan, but I don't see any major problem here.
