I am still waiting for the TSB also harrywh. So don't feel too bad. Although, if there is not a fix by the end of Oct, i will raise hell at my dealer. I will request a whole new system. I got the car in august, and 2 months is plenty to wait.

 

I am also getting a little upset that it is taking so long to get what should be a simple computer upgrade. I would think that other people have had to said something to the dealers about this . Or maybe they just have not noticed it . But when the left side of the stereo is not working it is got to be something you would notice. I am going to call Boston in the morning and see what they have to say about the delay.

Thanks harry. I can't wait so i can upgrade the system. Don't want to upgrade the speakers till TSB is done. I will contact dealership regularly to see when it arrives. If i hear about it before you do , i will keep you posted also.

 

The TSB for left front door speaker problem is #08-033-04 and applies to vehicles with the Boston Acoustics audio system.

This bulletin involves flash reprogramming the audio amplifier with revised software (05059073AN)

Ask your dealer to read TSB # 08-033-04 dated Oct 15, 2004.

Good news my dealer has the tsb to do repair on stereo. I stopped by after they called and they are going to do it Friday morning.The tech says he wants to get everything ready in the flah system before he flashes my car .He said there is a litlle bit of reading he wants to do first to make sure he does it right..He also had to by some speakers for the flash,for some reason he needs speakers to to do it.I have the TSB report attatched.
